The III International Symposium on Introduced Salmonids (#SISI2024) is an instance for exchanging knowledge around the global introduction of salmonids and its implications for society and ecosystems. This event is organized by the Millennium Nucleus of Southern Invasive Salmonids (INVASAL) and the Austral University of Chile, and will take place in Valdivia, Chile, from December 1st to 6th, 2024.
This symposium brings together a community of national and international scientists, specialists, professionals, tour operators, industry members, public servants in administration/inspection, and related users. By sharing traditional and scientific knowledge and experiences, SISI aims to tackle several issues, challenges, and solutions related to salmon and trout introduction into freshwater and marine ecosystems. The objective is to integrate knowledge through a transdisciplinary approach within the context of global and social change.
